Fall for Welness
Fall for Wellness
I am an exhibitor providing a brush pen and cursive art session at the upcoming event - Fall For Wellness, taking place on Sunday, September 8th from 1-4 pm at Westborough High School. This free community program is for all ages. Through a wellness expo, info sessions, active sessions (e.g., Yoga, Tai Chi), and opportunities to learn about health benefiting tools, the organizers, the Square One Collaboration, hope to connect attendees to resources which support mental and behavioral health, showcase various ways to positively impact well-being, and decrease the stigma surrounding mental health. There will be free light refreshments, door prizes, raffle prizes, and giveaways! Spend some time doing a relaxing art activity or learn about common items that can be used by teens to hide substances in the Hidden in Plain Sight exhibit. Be among the first 50 attendees and $20 will be donated in your honor to the National Alliance on Mental Illness’ anti-stigma initiatives thanks to Dolan & Maloney Insurance Agency and Thomas Financial Associates. Stop in anytime during the day- or stay the whole time. Invite local friends, family and neighbors, too. Introduction to Calligraphy
This workshop includes:
One free drink!
In-person instruction (led by me!) on calligraphy basics
A workbook that covers the basic strokes, the lower case and uppercase Copperplate Calligraphy letters, how to put words together, and extra practice exercises to complete at home
All necessary materials-- participants will bring home a calligraphy holder, nib, 1/2 ounce jar of ink, mechanical pencil, nib wipe, and final product to show off on decorative paper
Spring Fest at the Candy Mansion
Spring Fest at Hebert Candy Mansion in Shrewsbury, MA, will include over 50 vendors, including local artisans, craft shops, food trucks, fun activities, and, of course… ice cream. Come see my booth for all of my cards, framed quotes, and maps, and I will offer on-site calligraphy for kids’ name signs, a first name on the envelope of one of my cards, and engraving on glass and metal surfaces.
